Big Three Lead Portland. Blazers Tickle Wizards. 100-87

The first half of last night's game with the Washington Wizards was not the prettiest basketball I've witnessed.  In fact, a 39-31 half-time score will never have you on the edge of your seat.  Luckily for the sold out Rose Garden crowd, the second half was worth the suffering endured during the first 24 minutes.

Game thoughts in fantastical bulleted format:
  • Greg Oden is officially coming alive.
  • And Brandon Roy might officially be back.
  • And Nic Batum is officially fantastic.
  • And I'm officially still laughing at the awful-ness of the Wizards.
  • The Blazers 24 steals has to be close to a record.
  • Caron Butler's 31 and 10 were sooooooo quiet.
  • Juan Dixon sighting!
  • How is Andray Blatche in this league?  The next Darius?
  • Always nice to see Outlaw have his own personal dunkfest.
  • J-Bay it's OK buddy.
  • Back to Los Angeles!

Even though the yahoo box score can't add, I believe it was 21 steals.

And the Blazers have denied another lame Eastern conference team a win in the Rose Garden. Brandon Roy's 10 steals were downright awesome (and that's most any player has logged in a single game this season - I wonder if Chris Paul will try to beat that).

Since you were at the game and we discussed this at the end of the live chat, I have to ask: have you done anything with your chalupa coupon yet?

Chalupa! I have 2 somewhere...possibly in a pocket from last night. I should collect as many Chalupa coupons as possible and hold a contest for a big batch of them. :P

About This Blog

This Portland Trail Blazers blog definitely isn't your basic "recap/report the news" kind of blog. We tend to lean a little to the sporadic and unsystematic side of this young and sexy basketball team. Oh, and you'll definitely see a lot of Blazer Dancer action around here, so bring your bucket of ice.
