Darius Miles...Waived!

Our pal, our friend, our comrade, Sir Dariusness, was cut today by the Boston Celtics.  Danny Ainge, you aren't getting your revenge on the Blazers this year sucka!  The following was reported by the Boston Herald:

The longshot free-agent signee, who missed two full seasons after microfracture surgery on his knee, was waived today by the Celtics, bringing the Green’s roster down to the league maximum of 15.

“Darius was a model citizen during his time here in Boston,” said GM Danny Ainge. ”He showed that he still has a lot of basketball left in him.”

I can't say that I am at all surprised by this and I'm guessing that most Blazer fans aren't either.  The guy was a complete train wreck while in Portland and after a couple of unsuccessful surgeries and unsuccessful attempts at rehabbing, you had to be a fool to think this guy would be ready to play.

So today, we "cheers" to all those Boston Celtics bloggers that wrote those heart-felt posts documenting Darius Miles and the thought of "Mr. Strip Club" himself becoming the next James Posey.  Cheers!
