15 Thoughts vs. Boston 12/30

Rematch!  After getting bullied destroyed by Boston less than a month ago, "your" Portland Trail Blazers get another shot at them and this time it's in the RG.  Oden and Roy are questionable but we all know Brandon will find a way to play while I can't necessarily say the same for Greg.  Maybe he'll be resting his sore ankle in some secret back bedroom of the Rose Garden?  With or without him, this is going to be quite the battle.  Bring some damn toughness boys!

1.  Mental freakin' toughness.  +1 Celtics
2.  Boston has taken 7 straight vs. Portland dating back to 2004.  +1 Celtics
3.  Portland has its own Garden.  +1 Blazers
4.  Rondo in a scoring slump.  Toss Up
5.  Time for Brandon to break his Boston slump.  Toss Up
6.  Boston is finishing up a 4 game road swing in Portland.  +1 Blazers
7.  We have the Blazer Dancers and Red's Army approves+1 Us and the BD's
8.  Thoughts on the Beastondo shirtToss Up
9.  Pissed off at myself for not getting tickets.  -1 Kellex
10.  Ignoring the ESPN AccuscoreToss Up
11.  Feeling some rookie magic.  +1 Blazers
12.  KG vs. LaMarcus.  +1 Celtics
13.  McMillan vs. Doc.  Toss Up
14.  Pritchard vs. Ainge.  +1 Blazers
15.  Going out on a limb with this pick?  +1 Guaranteed

I am a RedsArmy reader and I came over to check out your preview, I was at the last meeting of the two teams, and I agree with you that if Portland wants to win this game they need to step up the toughness, admittedly that game was the only Blazers game I have seen all season, but I remember they got completely out worked on the boards, especially on the offensive glass, that was really the key to the game.

They are definitely soft when they play Boston and it's too bad. Normally the Blazers are a top 5 team (I believe) when it comes to offensive rebounding but when it comes to the CEltics...they just can't compete mentally or physically.

Lets hope some home cookin' will fix that!

A Blazer victory? Wishful thinking Sir, I hope for the same result but my memory tells me we are in for a tough one.

About This Blog

This Portland Trail Blazers blog definitely isn't your basic "recap/report the news" kind of blog. We tend to lean a little to the sporadic and unsystematic side of this young and sexy basketball team. Oh, and you'll definitely see a lot of Blazer Dancer action around here, so bring your bucket of ice.
