The Afterparty: Blazers/Pacers Game 23

A party full of post-game links and coverage to give you every over-analyzed angle in hopes of making your Blazers IQ that much greater.

Not sure if anyone is keeping track, but "your" Portland Trail Blazers are now 2-1 without Greg Oden!  OK, that's not funny or enlightening.

From what I've read this morning, everyone seems to be excited about last night's performance as a return to the look of last year's team.  Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't see a team capable of winning 54 games last night.  Unless of course you meant playing down to the level of competition, struggling for 3.95 quarters, and getting crushed on the boards by rookies is a step in that direction...

The only real difference between last night's and Monday night's games, is the fact that Indiana can't shoot for ish.  They go 3 of 17 from deep and start throwing up extra bricks down the stretch.  Fortunately for Portland, the old Brandon Roy was in the building.  So if that's what everyone meant, then I sort of get it.

Closing thought:  If Aldridge wouldn't decide to take the second half off every night, he might be an All-Star.

About This Blog

This Portland Trail Blazers blog definitely isn't your basic "recap/report the news" kind of blog. We tend to lean a little to the sporadic and unsystematic side of this young and sexy basketball team. Oh, and you'll definitely see a lot of Blazer Dancer action around here, so bring your bucket of ice.
